AIMS & SCOPE

Scientific Series Aspects of the Cognitive and Functional Description of the Russian and Bulgarian languages is an open access scholarly journal that aims at publishing high-quality authentic texts in a variety of areas of philology.

The journal provides a platform for publishing the results of quality research and for an exchange of research results and ideas and promotes the development of theoretical and practical comparative research, the establishment and strengthening of scientific ties between scientists from different countries.

It allows readers to read, download, copy, print, distribute, or link to the full texts of its articles and to use them for any other lawful purpose.

Aspects of the Cognitive and Functional Description of the Russian and Bulgarian languages publishes articles, reviews and research papers in the following areas: linguistics, functional grammar, cognitive linguistics, applied and text/corpus linguistics, comparative/contrastive linguistics, media studies, cultural studies, gesture/sign/visual forms of communication, intercultural communication, discourse analysis, social semiotics, pragmatics, translation studies, foreign language teaching, etc.

The methods of research employed could be qualitative, quantitative or mixed, and the research designs could be case studies, experimental studies, literature reviews, etc.
